A little about myself. I’m a long-time cricket fan. Although from England, I have a distinct fondness for the minor nations of world cricket. I look forward to the day when countries such as Scotland, Afghanistan, Canada, etc are capable of beating England, as I feel the more countries playing cricket at the highest level will make cricket a better sport.
The ICC share my view on this, although it seems that the mainstream cricket media do not. In an article in the 2006 Wisden Almanack, Matthew Engel launched an attack on the development of the game, which basically boiled down to “I don’t want Johnny Foreigner playing our game”. This angered me a lot, and eventually led to my idea to start this blog.
I hope to give non-test cricket the coverage it deserves, and expose the mainstream cricket media’s arrogance and ignorance towards it.

I am a seventeen year old college student studying at the University of California, Berkeley majoring in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. I guess Caught Behind! and Beyond the Boundary are both projects of combining my two greatest passions in life - computers and cricket. Like Andrew, I too feel very passionate about the development of this sport and firmly believe that cricket will one day become a truly global sport.
My personal vision for Beyond the Boundary is for it to grow into the one-stop place for all information regarding non-test playing nations cricket and over a period of time plan to incorporate audio interviews, non-test playing nations cricket attire store, photo galleries and tour diaries for all major ICC associate and affiliate tournaments, a cricket discussion forum as well as correspondents in all ICC member countries and cricket boards.
