Israel to play in India?
Buried at the end of an article about a possible change in format to the premier Indian domestic competition the Ranji Trophy, is that Israel are set to visit India for a one-day series. No more is said about it.
We can safely assume that they’re not going to be playing the Indian first team, and the Indian A and Under-19 teams could be a little out of Israel’s league too. Games against local opposition are a possibility. Matches against another international team are also a possibility, though it’s safe to say that many teams in the region won’t exactly be at the front of the queue for a game against the Israelis.
More on this as we get it.

Surely theres a closer place to go to play games against club sides. ITs not like their level of cricket cannot be found in europe (even around the med) which would be much cheaper. Still it will be an expierience i suppose

Interesting..if Israel are coming all the way to South Asia, they might as well play some other international teams in the region..Maldives, Afghanistan A, or even Bhutan could make for good opposition against them..

As far as I’m aware, all three of those countries don’t recognise the state of Israel, so they’re unlikely opposition.

My name is Alan Moloney and I am working on a programme that the BBC is planning on running during the Cricket World Cup-
The Cricket World Cup will soon be starting - and the BBC are looking for cricket fans with to appear live on BBC World TV during the tournament.
To take part, you’ll need to have a passionate opinion about cricket and the impact of the World Cup in your country.
You’ll also need to have a PC, a webcam and a reliable broadband connection.
We want to hear your views on the events in the West Indies.
My Cricket World Cup will be broadcast live on BBC World TV during March and April.
Each show will feature panels of ordinary people from all around the globe talking live on TV using webcams. We’ll be discussing a wide range of issues - not just the cricket itself, but the impact of the Cricket World Cup around the world.
We are currently trying to get in contact with fans from all over the world who would love to air their opinions and share their love of cricket on the show. I hope you might be interested in taking part. And maybe you know of others who share your passion for the game. I look forward to hearing from you and hope that this project might interest you.
Many thanks for your time,
Alan Moloney
