Nepal on form in warm-ups
Nepal and the Bahamas have been playing WCL Division Five warm-up matches in Guernsey over the last few days, and Nepal are looking in good form as they head to Jersey for the main tournament.
Nepal thrashed the Bahamas by 201 runs on Monday, Guernsey beat the Bahamas by 158 runs on Tuesday, whilst yesterday saw Nepal beat Guernsey by 73 runs. So the Bahamas look to be out of their depth, whilst Nepal will be looking to continue this form into the WCL5 tournament itself.

Guernsey are a decent side, and have beaten Jersey a few times in recent years.
Nepal should win, but given their awful record outside of Asia, I wou;dn’t bet on it. They have some good players, but they’re not as good as their fans think they are.

Nepal vs USA should be a good game..
Afghanistan aren’t as good as they are made out to be as well..and they’ll have interesting tussles with Jersey and some of the other teams in the their group

Nepal will surely win wcl 5 and go to at least wcl 2

I think our (Nepal) bowling and fielding is of world standard! But on the batting front, we rightfully deserve the WCL 5 division! Our batsmen cant play long innings…okay let me rephrase that…they can play long innings ballwise (ie score 39 off 82 balls or sth) but not runwise. And what this is tellin me is that we dont look into our singles and twos. We dont convert our 1s into 2s and 2s into 3s. Our batsmen generally like to score off boundaries. An once the pressure mounts due to excessive amount of dot balls..they play careless shots, hence prizing the wicket to the opponent.
But we have seen some batters flair this time round..like Sharad, Shakti, Alam, Paresh, Gyanendra! They are in form. If only 2-3 of them fired each game, I wudnt say Nepal will walk all over this tournament!

With the Bahamas being beaten in warm-ups by Nepal and Guernsey and being beaten by Botswana and Jersey it looks like they are seriously out of their depth and they and Japan may well end up in another level of the expanded WCL.
