Any news on the Africa Div 1 championships? I read somewhere that next year’s Afro Asia cup would have the top 2 sides from each continent rather than amalgamated teams, that this year’s Asia cup would decide the 2 Asian teams but that Africa was planning a similar tournament to work out their two.

adding to rich b’s post. i read somewhere that there will be an africa cup tournament in 2008 involving south africa, zimbabwe, kenya & namibia. does anyone have any info as to when & where it will be held. it also said that the afro-asia cup will involve the winner of the africa cup 2008 playing against the winner of asia cup 2008

Amit - unfortunately, it was reported yesterday that all that has been cancelled. The AfroAsia Cup will be in Kenya in 2009 with its usual format of an African XI v an Asian XI.

I saw that too, Andrew. Hopefully the Africa champs will continue anyway, even without SA & Zim.
Div 2: Botswana, Mozambique, Zambia, Nigeria, Ghana, Swaziland
Div 1: Kenya, Namibia, Uganda, Tanzania, winner of Div 2
